Permanent Jaipur

I've been hearing rumours for weeks that Thornbridge Brewery's near-legendary Jaipur IPA (at a walloping 5.9%) was to be made permanent at The Grove in Huddersfield. I couldn't/wouldn't believe them of course - but now it's happened I fear my life expectancy has just been halved as I'll be resigned to spending most Fridays, Saturdays and no doubt Sundays too (for the rest of my pitiful existence) totally messed on the stuff! Some earlier thoughts on Jaipur.

I am still not sure if the addition of Jaipur as a regular is a good thing or not. Maybe another case of familiarity breeding contempt. It is, without doubt, a superb beer but I prefer it to be around occasionally rather than all the time. And then savour the occasion. Off this point, there will be some of your favourite 2.7% Brewdog at the Rat mild festival, and have you noticed the arrival of Fuller's Chiswick as a regular at the Grove ? This seems to be a step in the right direction and will hopefully lead to the demise of the disappointing Wentworth Imperial.

Agreed. After some quiet reflection I think I'll probably be spending less time at the Grove as a result of this! Good to hear about the Brewdog mild.
There might be one or two at the Cellar Bar for you Tim. A few Ratters are catching the train over to Batley this afternoon so maybe see you there.
